This was a project I was thrilled to have been part of this transformation start to finish!

The family’s dream of a brighter, more spacious kitchen took shape over the past three years. COVID paused things for a bit but brought an unexpected positive, allowing for extra funds and an expanded vision.

Originally, the property had a front living room (left untouched this time round), a small study-turned-toy room, a one wall kitchen with dining table against side wall, and a makeshift utility lean-to to the rear.

Through careful planning, layout changes, and the addition of a small wrap-around extension, the space now radiates as a family friendly open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The fireplace was reinstated in the dining zone, now featuring a cosy wood-burning stove, complimented by the warmth of the wall lights.

Some kitchen features, a Fohen instant boil tap, and a Franke Titan composite sink sitting on the Silestone quartz. I must say, the sink sits beautifully in the space . Kickboard lighting was also installed for added ambiance.

One standout is the utility nook – a personal favourite. Meticulous planning turned this small space into a solution for the family’s storage and laundry needs. It now houses the laundry chute, washing machine, dryer, Dyson, and tall units for the fridge, larder, ovens, and ample additional storage.

The living zone is a charming work in progress.
